NHS-funded orthodontic treatment is currently available to under-18s who need braces to improve their dental health. Anyone under the age of 18 is entitled to a free NHS consultation. You don’t need to be referred to us by your dentist: you can contact us directly to arrange your appointment.
During your NHS consultation, we’ll evaluate your teeth and bite using the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). The IOTN is a nationally accepted and verified tool used by orthodontists to assess eligibility for orthodontic treatment within the NHS.
The provision of NHS orthodontic treatment is not means-tested; it is based entirely on the IOTN.
