Before and after braces

This 21 year-old girl had crowding of her teeth, particularly her upper right lateral incisor tooth. She had also previously had an upper right molar tooth extracted. She was treated with Damon fixed braces, which were used to align her teeth, close the space where the upper molar had been lost and reduce her overbite. Treatment took around 14 months with the fixed braces.

This 12 year-old girl had prominent upper front teeth and some crowding in both the upper and lower jaws. The first phase of her treatment was carried out using a functional brace to correct the position of her upper front teeth. This took around 8 months and was followed by fixed braces to align her teeth and detail the final tooth positions. The fixed braces were in place for around 12 months and she now has a correct bite with teeth that are perfectly straight.

This 19 year-old girl was concerned about her crowded teeth and bite. She had an impacted canine tooth that was stuck in her upper jaw and a number of her teeth had large fillings. When she bit together, there was no contact between her front teeth, which made it difficult for her to into things. Orthodontic treatment involved the extraction of four teeth, which included the impacted canine and crowned lower right first molar, and fixed braces to align her teeth and correct her bite. Treatment took just under two years and gave her a much improved bite and straight teeth! All of the space created from the tooth extractions was used to straighten her teeth.

This 14 year-old girl had prominent upper front teeth and a lot of crowding. Her first permanent molar teeth had all been heavily filled in the past and had a poor long-term prognosis. She was treated with the extraction of these molar teeth and Damon self-ligating fixed braces. Her upper teeth were very prominent and she had a lot of crowding, so her treatment was quite complex. It took just over two years to complete her treatment, but she is was really pleased with the result!
